The Touring Potter is Maisie's mobile pottery studio (12 years with clay, 9 teaching) travelling within 20 miles of Christchurch, Dorset, with a home studio at Unit 10A, Aerodrome Studios, 2-8 Airfield Way, Christchurch BH23 3TS for smaller parties. Hen packages for groups of 6-25: Throw Down (£42.50 per hen - wheel-thrown pot plus hand-built piece, 1.5-2 hours) and Pottery Painting (£24 per hen, 1-1.5 hours), both with 50% deposit; pieces are glazed and fired afterwards (up to 8 weeks for thrown work) for studio collection or postage. What hen party pottery classes do you offer?
Two mobile packages from Maisie (12 years with clay, 9 years teaching) brought to your venue within 20 miles of Christchurch, Dorset - or at our Christchurch studio (Unit 10A, Aerodrome Studios, 2-8 Airfield Way BH23 3TS) for smaller parties. Throw Down (£42.50 per hen): throw a pot on the wheel and hand-build a second piece (slab or pinch pot), glazed in your chosen colour. Pottery Painting (£24 per hen): paint plates, bowls, mugs or figurines with vibrant underglazes. Both suit groups of 6 to 25 hens; all materials and equipment provided.
How does firing and delivery work?
We take your pieces away to glaze and fire (two firings for Throw Down - up to 8 weeks at busy times; up to 4 weeks for painting), then text you to collect from the studio or arrange postage at extra cost. If a piece ever breaks in the kiln, we will happily make a replacement.
What are the booking terms?
A 50% deposit books your date; sessions last 1.5-2 hours (Throw Down) or 1-1.5 hours (Painting) depending on group size. Larger groups need a venue arranged; smaller parties can use our home studio.

Studio visits and drop-in sessions (£15 per hour plus materials/firing), team-building parties, taster sessions and studio memberships for keen potters.
