Frequently asked questions

Can we book a group golf day?

Yes. Our society and group golf packages are for groups of 12 or more and start from £31 per person, including 18 holes with coffee and a bacon roll. Packages with breakfast, lunch or dinner, and our 27-hole package (18 on the Valley, 9 on the Woodland), run up to around £70 in summer. We do not accept cash payments.

What courses do you have?

We have 27 holes: the 18-hole Valley Course, which hosted the 2024 Dorset County Championship, and the 9-hole Woodland Course, ideal for beginners or a quicker round. There is also a floodlit Trackman driving range and short-game practice facilities.

We have beginners in the group. Is that OK?

Yes. The Woodland Course suits newcomers, and our PGA professionals can add a bespoke golf clinic to your group day, alongside longest-drive and nearest-the-pin competitions. Visitors are welcome every day; booking is essential.

How much are visitor green fees?

Visitor green fees vary by season, day and tee time; better rates appear via the online booking button on our visitors page. Group days are better value for parties of 12 or more, from £31 per person.

What is the dress code?

Proper golf attire is required and collarless t-shirts are not acceptable. Well-behaved dogs on leads are welcome with golfers on the Woodland Course and in our outdoor clubhouse areas.

Where are you?

We are at The Clubhouse, Verwood, Dorset BH31 7LH, in 184 acres of countryside with the River Crane running through the course. Call 01202 814088 or email [email protected] to plan a group day.

One of the best and relaxing areas to spend a day or so and enjoy the weather and with wedding reception venue, it was just perfect. Lots of parking and great food!

Dropped in for a quick 9 holes after work. Fun course. Took our 7 yo who loved being on a big course to practice his golf. Going to try the driving range next then go 18 holes!
