What is The Bath Distillery Gin Bar?
We are the living showcase of Bath Gin: the first gin distilled in Bath for over 250 years, poured in a beautifully restored Georgian building at 2-3 Queen Street. (You may know us by our former name, The Canary Gin Bar.) Beyond our own small-batch gins, our shelves hold around 230 gins from across the globe, each paired with a bespoke mixer and garnish by our mixologists, plus signature serves like Gin Austen and sharing drinks from vintage teapots.
Can we book a gin experience with you?
Two, every Saturday. Our Distillery Tour & Tasting (£40 per person, about 90 minutes) starts at the bar with a Bath Gin and tonic and the story of gin in Bath, walks five minutes to our Monmouth Place distillery to meet Jane, our copper pot still, then returns to the bar for a guided sampling of the Bath Gin collection. Our Gin Cocktail Masterclass (£40) gets you behind the bar to make three flavourful gin cocktails with our team. Both run at 12pm, 2pm and 4pm on Saturdays for groups of 2 to 12, with larger group bookings by arrangement.
Can we book the bar for a hen party?
Start with science, finish with cocktails: book the group onto the Saturday tour or masterclass (up to 12 per session; contact [email protected] for larger parties, which can sometimes run midweek), then settle into the bar for the evening. Our mixologists will guide even gin beginners through the shelves to a perfect serve.
What gins should we try?
Ours, first: exclusive small-batch Bath Gins only available at Queen Street, from Orange & Grapefruit and Strawberry & Elderflower to the 6-Year Oak Aged and Navy Strength expressions, all distilled by our team at Monmouth Place. Then let the team loose on the wider 230-gin collection: every serve comes with its own mixer and garnish pairing.
Do we need to book?
Booking is recommended, for experiences and for evening tables at weekends. The experiences are Saturdays only at set times and capped at 12, so hen groups should reserve early. The bar itself welcomes walk-ins across the week.

You will find us at 2-3 Queen Street, Bath (BA1 1HE), moments from Bath Abbey, the Roman Baths and Thermae Bath Spa, just off Milsom Street. A Gin to suit everyone!! A very cool gin bar with a great vibe !! As soon as we entered we were warmly welcomed by the lovely Harriet. If you could do a PhD in Gin, Harriet would be top of the class. Great suggestions of gins and cocktails to suit our taste meant we stopped longer than anticipated. If you like Gin...go...if not, just go anyway to meet Harriet !! We will definitely be back !!

What can I say about this place, if you are in Bath and love Gin, this is the place for you! The staff were fantastic, Madz and River are cocktail geniuses, Harriet and Callum are such fantastic hosts. We sat at the bar all night and had such good banter with the whole team. Arrived as strangers and left as Friends. I wish I could transport them all to Newcastle. The Gin they make is amazing, we left with Strawberry and Elderflower, Chilli and Kafir Lime and Cucumber and Jasmin Gin and love them . Will definitely be ordering more of them on the website. Overall one of the best nights ever and we were made to feel so welcome on both nights. Would highly recommend!
