Location & getting around

The cottages are in Wressle, close to Howden in Yorkshire, making them a handy meeting point for groups travelling from both the north and south. The setting feels rural and peaceful, but you are not cut off. Howden, Goole and Selby are nearby, and York is around a 30-minute drive away, with the Park & Ride at McArthur Glen around 20 minutes away for easier access into the city.

York is a great choice for a hen day or evening, with its shops, bars, restaurants, river walks and cocktail spots. Leeds, Beverley, Hull, Doncaster and Selby are all within roughly an hour by car, giving the group plenty of options for brunch, dinner, shopping, nightlife or a change of scene. If the bride loves the coast, Bridlington beach is around an hour away for a seaside day trip.
