What happens on the tour?
We lead a 105-minute walking tour through Bath's haunted locations, mixing grisly storytelling, theatre, audience participation and a genuine paranormal experiment. Expect tales of murder, witches, hangings and duels - and you may be invited to volunteer along the way.
How much are tickets?
Public tour tickets are £18 for adults and £12 for children and students in 2025/26. Private tours are priced by group size - contact us for details, or book our regular 7:30pm private tour slot online.
Can we book a private tour for a hen party?
Yes - private bookings for hen nights are available all year round on almost any night, for groups of 2 to 34 per guide. Your group gets its own dedicated, costumed guide. Email [email protected] or call 07377 724519 to arrange it.
Where and when do tours start?
We meet outside the main door of Bath Abbey in Abbey Churchyard (BA1 1LT). Public tours leave at 8pm - on weekends year-round, Wednesday to Sunday from March, and seven nights a week from May to late December. Arrive at least 10 minutes early.
How many people can come?
Public tour groups fluctuate between 4 and 34 people (with two guides on very busy nights). Private tours run for 2 to 34 per guide, and we can sometimes accommodate even larger groups across multiple guides.
Is the tour accessible?
We have to be honest: our route crosses busy city streets at night with narrow pavements, cobblestones, dark alleyways and regular steps, so we cannot recommend the tour for wheelchair users. Well-behaved dogs are welcome on public tours.

We had the most incredible experience during our tour this evening! We were so lucky to have Georgia as our tour guide. She did an extraordinary job of capturing us all in with her spooky tales. It was definitely one of the best ghost tour experiences I’ve ever had, and I was even fortunate to photograph an orb fly across my screen at one of the most haunted sites that Georgia told us about! Can’t wait to go on more tours with Georgia and Macarbe Ghost Tours.

Brilliant ghost tour in Bath! Such interesting stories and you are kept engaged the entire time. Mr. Skinner was a brilliant guide who kept everyone included and entertained. The tour is also definitely family friendly and the guides are able to adapt details to make it appropriate for younger tour group members.
