Central Bath Hen Maisonette | Sleeps 12

The space

Broad Street House is made for hen groups who want to be right in the middle of Bath, with everything for the weekend within easy reach. Sleeping up to 12 guests across four bedrooms, this spacious maisonette gives your group a sociable base where you can get ready together, share drinks and nibbles before heading out, and return to a comfortable space after a day of shopping, sightseeing, spa time or cocktails in the city.

Recently completely renovated, the house is spread over two floors, so there is room for everyone without feeling on top of each other. The layout works particularly well for celebration groups, with an open-plan living and dining area at the heart of the home. It is the kind of space where the bridal party can gather around the table for a relaxed brunch, lay out decorations and games, or enjoy a few pre-dinner drinks before stepping out into Bath’s lively centre.

The location is a huge part of the appeal. Broad Street sits in the heart of Bath, surrounded by independent shops, restaurants, pubs and bars. For a hen party that wants a city break feel rather than a remote countryside stay, this is a very convenient choice: no long taxis just to reach dinner, no complicated logistics for daytime plans, and plenty of options close by if the group wants to split off for shopping, coffee or a glass of fizz.

Inside the house

The maisonette sleeps 6 to 12 guests in four spacious bedrooms, with each bedroom sleeping three people. This setup is ideal for hen groups, giving you a simple rooming arrangement for friends, sisters, cousins and bridesmaids. Everyone can stay under one roof, which helps keep the weekend social from the moment you arrive.

There are two shower rooms, a practical bonus when 12 guests are getting ready for dinner, a night out or a morning activity. Linen and towels are provided, so the group can pack lighter and focus on outfits, accessories and hen-party essentials instead of household basics.

The open-plan living and dining space is the main gathering spot. Use it for a welcome drink when everyone arrives, a homemade breakfast before exploring the city, or classic hen party games in the evening. The dining area gives you space to sit together rather than splitting into separate rooms, while the lounge area keeps things relaxed between plans. Because the property has been recently renovated, the setting feels fresh and ready for a special weekend without being fussy or formal.

The kitchen is equipped with everything you need for your stay, whether you are preparing simple breakfasts, stocking the fridge with prosecco and snacks, or putting together a casual supper before heading out. A large Waitrose is less than 100 yards away, making it easy to pick up groceries, drinks, last-minute toiletries, flowers, celebration treats or anything forgotten during packing. For hen groups, that convenience is a real advantage: you can keep the itinerary flexible and avoid wasting time on big food shops or delivery slots.

Hen weekend highlights

Broad Street House is best suited to hens who want a city-centre celebration with easy access to Bath’s food, drink, shopping and cultural scene. While it does not rely on extras like a hot tub, games room, garden or BBQ, its strength is the location and the generous indoor space for a group of up to 12. You can still create all the classic hen-weekend moments inside: welcome bags on arrival, matching pyjamas in the bedrooms, a themed dinner table, cocktail-making warm-ups, quizzes, photo challenges and pre-night-out playlists in the living area.

The four triple bedrooms make the weekend feel communal and fun, especially for groups where not everyone knows each other yet. Shared rooms help break the ice, while the two-floor layout gives a little breathing space when people want a quieter moment.

For daytime plans, Bath offers plenty of hen-friendly options nearby, from spa sessions and afternoon tea to boutique shopping, sightseeing and relaxed lunches. The city is known for its beautiful Georgian architecture, the Roman Baths, rooftop views, cocktail bars and independent restaurants, so you can design a weekend that feels stylish without needing to travel far from the front door.

The property also works well for a shopping-party weekend with friends. With the shops so close, guests can browse, drop bags back at the house, freshen up, and head out again for dinner or drinks. That ease makes a big difference for larger groups, especially when everyone is working to different timings.

Location & getting around

Set on Broad Street in Bath and North East Somerset, the house places your hen group in one of the city’s most characterful central areas. Broad Street is famously one of the narrowest streets in Bath, with a name linked to the broad weaving looms from the city’s textile heritage. Today, the area is home to independent shops, restaurants and Bath’s oldest pub, The Saracens Head, giving the street a lively but historic feel.

From the property, you are already in the city centre, so evenings out are straightforward. Bars, pubs, restaurants and shops are all close by, helping the group avoid complicated transport plans. If you are planning a weekend with dinner reservations, cocktail stops, spa time or sightseeing, this central base keeps everything simple.

A free parking permit is included with your booking and is available when you arrive. It allows one car to park free in Bath’s central parking zone for the weekend, which is useful if part of the group is driving with luggage, decorations or supplies. Once you are settled in, most of the weekend can be enjoyed on foot thanks to the central location.

The nearby Waitrose, less than 100 yards away, is another practical perk. Whether you need breakfast supplies, fizz, snacks, mixers or a forgotten phone charger, you will not have to go far. For larger hen parties, that kind of convenience can make the weekend feel much more relaxed.
