I stayed here for the weekend my hen do and couldn’t have wished for a better venue! The photos don’t do this house justice it is absolutely beautiful. The pool was even heated enough to be able to use it in the rain. Could not recommend this house enough and the host was so helpful and responsive. I hope to be back one day!

Abbey house was the perfect setting to spend a weekend for my 30th birthday. I went with 18 friends and 2 dogs. There was so much space that it never felt crowded. There were lots of spaces and areas for people to split of a do their on thing or have quiet time. There was a great number of bathrooms to bedrooms. The décor was mostly in keeping to the Georgian feel of the house and it had a lot of authentic character rather than being overly pristine. I really did feel like the lady of the manor hehe. My dog had the best time. He is a large Doberman that looked so well suited to the place. The garden is mostly enclosed with the electric gate. The neighbours were dog friendly and kindly closed the back gate for us which we weren't aware of. The two dogs had so much space to run around in the garden. We also took a lovely walk on nearby public footpaths over sloping fields. The hot tub was a very nice bonus that we enjoyed a lot. I think many of us would like to come back in the summer when the pool is open. All in all, it was a very special weekend and I would definitely recommend it for a spending time with family and friends.

I celebrated my 30th at Abbey House and it was glorious! We enjoyed every little part of the space and only wished we had more time there. We weren’t blessed with good weather but the pool was warm and we swam in the rain all day and even into the night. House was very clean and the kitchen is well equipped. Martin and Jayne were great and Danny the caretaker was there if we needed anything throughout our stay. All in all a fabulous 2 days and we hope to come back again soon.

This place was absolutely stunning. We were getting married nearby and accommodated our bridesmaids and groomsman a night before the wedding and the big day itself. To have a bbq and pool day in the sun with our nearest and dearest the day before and to wake up on the morning of in such rich, beautiful surroundings was an utter blessing. What an incredible place, everything was absolutely spot on. It’s a remarkable experience to get to stay in such a beautiful home.

We have just enjoyed the perfect weekend away. The house is huge, the gardens beautiful. The pool was a dream. We can't wait to come back!
