York is around a 30-minute drive away, with the Park & Ride at McArthur Glen approximately 20 minutes away by car, making it a strong choice for a day of shopping, sightseeing, afternoon tea or evening drinks. Leeds, Beverley, Hull, Doncaster and Selby are all under an hour’s drive, so you can keep the weekend countryside-based while still adding a city day or night out if that suits the bride’s style.
