Private Pub Hen House with Dance Floor | Brigg | Sleeps 16

The space

For a hen weekend with real personality, The White Hart in Brigg gives your group the rare chance to take over an entire former pub venue in North Lincolnshire. This Grade II listed property has been cleverly reworked into an exclusive-use holiday house, keeping the fun, sociable feel of a proper pub while adding boutique bedrooms, stylish interiors and plenty of space for a group celebration.

The star of the show is the downstairs party set-up: an exclusive-use bar area, a function room, a dance floor and a riverside beer garden, so the weekend can flow easily from welcome drinks to dinner, games and late-night dancing without needing to move between venues. It is a brilliant choice for hens who want a private base with the buzz of a night out built in.

Although the wider venue can host larger gatherings, Hen Hideaways lists this property for groups of up to 16 guests, making it a generous and comfortable option for a hen party that wants room to spread out. You get the fun of a pub takeover, the comfort of luxury beds upstairs, and the ease of having your whole group together under one roof.

Inside the house

The bedrooms are boutique in style, with luxury Hypnos beds and mattresses designed for proper rest after a busy day. The layout includes a mix of kingsize and twin room options, with plenty of bathrooms across the property, including en-suites and larger family bathrooms with baths and showers. It works well for mixed friendship groups, bridal parties and family members who want their own space as well as lots of communal areas.

Downstairs, the property comes into its own for group hosting. The function room can be dressed for a celebratory meal, cocktail evening, games night or pre-night-out gathering, while the open-plan dining space gives everyone room to sit together. The fully equipped modern kitchen is ready for self-catering breakfasts, grazing boards, brunches or a group dinner, and you can also ask about catering options if you would rather keep the weekend low-effort.

Entertainment is built into the venue. There is a pool table, darts board and arcade machine for relaxed pub-style games, plus the dance floor for a playlist-led party once the evening gets going. A comfy snug offers a quieter corner for coffee, chats or a breather from the main group, and the workspace-style dining/function area is handy for setting up decorations, party bags, hen games or a weekend itinerary station.

Hen weekend highlights

The White Hart is especially good for hens who want a celebration that feels private, playful and easy to organise. Start with arrival drinks in your own bar, move into a BBQ or buffet in the garden, then bring everyone inside for speeches, games and dancing. Because the accommodation is upstairs, there is no taxi queue at the end of the night — just head up when you are ready.

The riverside beer garden is a lovely spot for daytime drinks, photo moments, a relaxed BBQ or a slower Sunday morning after the main celebration. If your group loves activities, the pub games add instant entertainment: pool tournaments, darts challenges and arcade machine throwbacks all work brilliantly as icebreakers for guests who may not know each other well.

There is no need to rely on a standard night out if you would rather keep things private. Arrange a mobile pamper session, cocktail class, craft workshop or private chef to come to the house, using the function room and snug-style spaces as your base. For groups searching for spa-style downtime, nearby hotels and wellness options around North Lincolnshire can be paired with the stay, while the property itself delivers the social space, garden, BBQ and games-room energy for the main event.

Location & getting around

The property sits in Brigg, a charming North Lincolnshire market town, with independent shops, local pubs, places to eat and regular farmers’ markets just a short stroll away. That makes it easy to pick up treats, brunch supplies or last-minute celebration bits without needing to drive.

For a bigger day or night out, Lincoln, Hull, Grimsby and York are all reachable by car, giving your group options for shopping, sightseeing, restaurants, bars and activities. Golfers in the group can look at Forest Pines Golf Course or Elsham Hall Golf Club, while hens who prefer a more relaxed itinerary can stay close to base and enjoy the private bar, garden and games instead.

Because this is a town-centre-style venue with everything under one roof, it suits groups who want convenience as much as character. You can plan a full weekend without complicated transfers: arrive, settle in, decorate the space, enjoy Brigg on foot, then return to your own private pub for the main celebration.
