Such a lovely weekend celebrating a friends hen do! The house was lovely, it was clean, inviting & had everything we needed. All of our questions were answered promptly- the hot tub was maintained daily, and they even got out some extra toilet roll when asked.
Highly recommend for a group holiday!
what an incredible place!
highly recommend, I booked this cottage for my hen do in december. Graham was really helpful and answered all my questions leading up to the date. The chapel is beautiful inside and the living social space is perfect for large gatherings.
it was really easy to find and did not require any single track lanes as lots of cottages do! there was a large driveway for everyone to park on and then the rooms were all spacious to sleep 16 of us. it didn't feel crammed and the beds were really comfortable. The house was immaculate and they had left us a welcome hamper to arrive to with wine and bread, biscuits coffee and tea. This was a really nice touch. The kitchen was really well equipped, I have stayed at mant hot tub lodges and it was the best for having all the amenities we needed. There was so much space for all our food and drink. It was very easy to decorate and as it was christmas they had the tree and fairy lights up with decorations
Staying at The Roundhouse is an absolute must.
It is in a great location, nothing was too much trouble and everyone was so welcoming, helpful and accommodating.
We were left a card and some bubbly to congratulate us on our recent wedding which was a lovely personal touch.
We couldn’t recommend it enough and only wish that we could have stayed longer!
We stayed here for a weekend for a he party. It was exactly what we needed. A wonderful location as It’s so isolated with beautiful surroundings. The property itself is full of character and history. As we were a group of 12 there were plenty of things for all us. Some people could enjoy the hot tub and being outside by the fire pit while others stayed indoors to relax and play with the endless games that were left at the property. The chapel was clean and well presented. It provided a cosy and functional feel to it. The hosts were fantastic and their communication before, during and after our stay was brilliant as they always responded in a timely manner. We would all definitely recommend this property to others.
Beaworthy Hen Party Houses: Frequently Asked Questions
Practical answers about booking, neighbourhoods, budgets and group fit for hen party houses in Beaworthy.
Is Beaworthy a good hen base?
Yes, if you want a large house, hot tub and proper countryside rather than walk-to-bar towns. Plan drives to Roadford Lake, Okehampton or Dartmoor tors, and treat the property as your main evening venue.
Where is Beaworthy in Devon?
A village in West Devon between Holsworthy and Okehampton, close to Roadford Lake and the western fringe of Dartmoor. St Alban's Church and narrow hedge-lined lanes define the local landscape.
What can we do near Roadford Lake?
Walking trails, bird hides, sailing and open-water swimming are popular at Roadford. Combine a lake morning with a pub lunch in Okehampton or a Dartmoor afternoon if you want variety without reaching the coast.
Do we need a car from a Beaworthy hen house?
Yes. Okehampton station on the Dartmoor Line helps some guests, but the village has no town-centre nightlife. Confirm parking, minibus access and taxi availability before you book.
How far is Beaworthy from the north Devon coast?
Bude and the north Cornwall coast are roughly forty to fifty minutes west. Exeter is about an hour south east via the A30. Build drive times into your plan before you promise daily beach trips.
Are hen parties welcome near Beaworthy?
On Hen Hideaways, yes. We list houses that welcome celebration groups. West Devon lanes suit groups who keep noise in the garden after the pub.
How far ahead should we book near Beaworthy?
Large rural barns with hot tubs sell early for summer. Message owners before you lock mobile cocktail classes or minibus quotes.
Beaworthy or Okehampton for a hen base?
Okehampton if you want a market town for supplies and easier taxis. Beaworthy if you want deeper countryside and Roadford on the doorstep.
