Such a lovely weekend celebrating a friends hen do! The house was lovely, it was clean, inviting & had everything we needed. All of our questions were answered promptly- the hot tub was maintained daily, and they even got out some extra toilet roll when asked.
Highly recommend for a group holiday!
what an incredible place!
highly recommend, I booked this cottage for my hen do in december. Graham was really helpful and answered all my questions leading up to the date. The chapel is beautiful inside and the living social space is perfect for large gatherings.
it was really easy to find and did not require any single track lanes as lots of cottages do! there was a large driveway for everyone to park on and then the rooms were all spacious to sleep 16 of us. it didn't feel crammed and the beds were really comfortable. The house was immaculate and they had left us a welcome hamper to arrive to with wine and bread, biscuits coffee and tea. This was a really nice touch. The kitchen was really well equipped, I have stayed at mant hot tub lodges and it was the best for having all the amenities we needed. There was so much space for all our food and drink. It was very easy to decorate and as it was christmas they had the tree and fairy lights up with decorations
Staying at The Roundhouse is an absolute must.
It is in a great location, nothing was too much trouble and everyone was so welcoming, helpful and accommodating.
We were left a card and some bubbly to congratulate us on our recent wedding which was a lovely personal touch.
We couldn’t recommend it enough and only wish that we could have stayed longer!
We stayed here for a weekend for a he party. It was exactly what we needed. A wonderful location as It’s so isolated with beautiful surroundings. The property itself is full of character and history. As we were a group of 12 there were plenty of things for all us. Some people could enjoy the hot tub and being outside by the fire pit while others stayed indoors to relax and play with the endless games that were left at the property. The chapel was clean and well presented. It provided a cosy and functional feel to it. The hosts were fantastic and their communication before, during and after our stay was brilliant as they always responded in a timely manner. We would all definitely recommend this property to others.
Collumpton Hen Party Houses: Frequently Asked Questions
Practical answers about booking, neighbourhoods, budgets and group fit for hen party houses in Collumpton.
Is Cullompton a good hen base?
Yes, if you want a large Culm Valley house with a hot tub and one Exeter night via the M5. The town has shops and a pannier market but quiet evenings, so plan where the main celebration happens.
How far is Cullompton from Exeter?
About fifteen minutes south on the M5. Tiverton is a similar distance north. Handy for mixed city and countryside plans without long coastal drives.
Do we need a car from a Cullompton hen house?
Yes. Junction 28 helps road trips, but rural houses need cars for supermarkets, Dartmoor days and Exeter nightlife. Confirm parking for multiple vehicles.
What can we do near the Culm Valley?
Grand Western Canal barge at Tiverton, Killerton or Dartmoor, or Exeter Quayside for paddleboarding and bars. Valley pool houses suit groups who want the house to carry the weekend.
Are hen parties welcome near Cullompton?
On Hen Hideaways, yes. We only list houses that accept celebration groups. Mid Devon suits groups who plan one big Exeter night and hot tub chaos at the house.
Cullompton or Exeter for a hen base?
Exeter for walkable bars. Cullompton for space, parking and a proper garden without paying city-centre house prices.
How far ahead should we book near Cullompton?
Bank holidays and summer weekends fill Mid Devon barns quickly. Sort your house before you book Exeter activities or canal barge trips.
What is the Culm Valley parking gotcha?
Promising twelve cars at a lane house without checking the listing. Narrow Devon access and farm gateways catch large groups out every summer.
