Such a lovely weekend celebrating a friends hen do! The house was lovely, it was clean, inviting & had everything we needed. All of our questions were answered promptly- the hot tub was maintained daily, and they even got out some extra toilet roll when asked.
Highly recommend for a group holiday!
what an incredible place!
highly recommend, I booked this cottage for my hen do in december. Graham was really helpful and answered all my questions leading up to the date. The chapel is beautiful inside and the living social space is perfect for large gatherings.
it was really easy to find and did not require any single track lanes as lots of cottages do! there was a large driveway for everyone to park on and then the rooms were all spacious to sleep 16 of us. it didn't feel crammed and the beds were really comfortable. The house was immaculate and they had left us a welcome hamper to arrive to with wine and bread, biscuits coffee and tea. This was a really nice touch. The kitchen was really well equipped, I have stayed at mant hot tub lodges and it was the best for having all the amenities we needed. There was so much space for all our food and drink. It was very easy to decorate and as it was christmas they had the tree and fairy lights up with decorations
Staying at The Roundhouse is an absolute must.
It is in a great location, nothing was too much trouble and everyone was so welcoming, helpful and accommodating.
We were left a card and some bubbly to congratulate us on our recent wedding which was a lovely personal touch.
We couldn’t recommend it enough and only wish that we could have stayed longer!
We stayed here for a weekend for a he party. It was exactly what we needed. A wonderful location as It’s so isolated with beautiful surroundings. The property itself is full of character and history. As we were a group of 12 there were plenty of things for all us. Some people could enjoy the hot tub and being outside by the fire pit while others stayed indoors to relax and play with the endless games that were left at the property. The chapel was clean and well presented. It provided a cosy and functional feel to it. The hosts were fantastic and their communication before, during and after our stay was brilliant as they always responded in a timely manner. We would all definitely recommend this property to others.
Tiverton Hen Party Houses: Frequently Asked Questions
Practical answers about booking, neighbourhoods, budgets and group fit for hen party houses in Tiverton.
Is Tiverton a good hen base?
Yes, for Mid Devon calm, canal walks and quick M5 links to Exeter or the north coast. Nightlife is modest, so plan Exeter or make the house your celebration venue.
What is the Tiverton horse-drawn barge?
Tiverton Canal Co runs the Tivertonian, one of the last horse-drawn passenger barges in Britain, April to October. Reserve by phone for summer weekends and pair it with the Ducks Ditty cafe bar at the basin.
How far is Tiverton from Exeter?
Roughly twenty-five to thirty minutes south via the M5. Tiverton Parkway connects to London for rail guests. Most hen houses still need cars for evening plans.
What else can we do near Tiverton?
Rowing boats on the canal, towpath nature reserve walks, Knightshayes Court near town, or drive to the Culm Valley for larger pool houses.
Do we need a car for a Tiverton hen weekend?
Yes for most groups. The canal basin is walkable, but hen properties and coast trips need drivers. Confirm parking before you book for ten or more guests.
Are hen parties welcome near Tiverton?
On Hen Hideaways, yes. We list houses that accept celebration groups. Canal country suits groups who plan one Exeter night and hot tub games at the house.
How far ahead should we book near Tiverton?
Canal barge seats and summer barns sell early. Sort your house first, then call the canal company to reserve your trip once dates are fixed.
Tiverton or Exeter for a hen base?
Exeter for walkable bars. Tiverton for canal charm, horse-drawn barge afternoons and a quieter house with parking.
